Pedagogy Sandbox

The Pedagogy Sandbox is a neutral space where teachers can interact with ‘Hatty’ our Ai-powered Education Expert, who can summarise what education research has to say, give tips on best practice, and assist teachers in reflecting and troubleshooting solutions to their current problems of practice.

Is there a particular student behaviour that you’re struggling with? ‘Hatty’ can help guide you through the steps in a Functional Behaviour Assessment, to identify how adjustments to the way you’re responding might produce different results.

Is there a pedagogy that you’re struggling to apply? Try it out here, and pause to get suggestions on scripts, feedback on your clarity and communication, and prompts with alternative ways to apply ideas.

Our VR Scenarios

Our scenarios are powered by Ai, so no interaction is ever quite the same.

They are arranged into 3 categories, all of which come standard with a lease of our ‘Chalk-Forge’ VR Headset.

Consistency where consistency matters:

Because we understand the importance of whole-school-consistency in key areas, we can also customise scenarios for individual schools. Do your school have a particular way you like staff to open lessons? Or perhaps a common script or process you like staff to follow?

We can code the Ai Students in our scenarios to respond to it, so that you can have confidence that it’s EnactED with fidelity.

Hard Lessons

‘Hard Lessons’ is our collection of Classroom Management and De-Escalation Scenarios.

teachers can choose between 3 difficulty levels; ‘Moderate’ (because nothing in here is Easy), through to ‘Spicy’ and ‘Downright Intractable’, teachers will encounter common behaviour problems including defiance, argumentative students, disruptive and attention seeking conduct.

In order to “win” these scenarios, teachers will need to apply the Essential Skills for Classroom Management with increasing levels of sophistication, and communicate in Trauma-aware ways, to de-escalate, and gain compliance, while minimising impact on learning time.

Best Praxis

The word ‘Praxis’ means “Theory in action”.

Our ‘Best-Praxis’ Scenarios are designed to fine-tune and tighten up teachers’ practice at those key junctures in lessons.

Teachers can practice enacting best-practice pedagogies for common classroom situations, and pause to access hints and feedback to bring their daily-practice ever closer to established best-practice.
